Fulham, still without a league win, host Hull, who have kept three clean sheets
Premier League, Saturday 17 October: Fulham, 20th and yet to win a league game, host Hull City, eighth on nine points, at Craven Cottage.

Fulham are still waiting for their first Premier League win of the season. Alvaro Arbeloa's side sit 20th on two points after two draws and four defeats, and their most recent game, a 1-2 loss at Ipswich on 10 October, was another close one.
Hull City arrive eighth on nine points after a 2-2 draw with Everton on 11 October. Chris Kavanagh referees at Craven Cottage on Saturday 17 October, 5pm Kenya time.
Fulham's leaky defence
Fulham have kept one clean sheet in six league games, the goalless draw at Liverpool, and have conceded in five of them. Ten goals against and six scored is the simple arithmetic behind a 20th-place finish.
Scoring is not the whole story, though. Fulham have found the net in four of six games, and their four defeats, against Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Ipswich, were each decided by a single goal. Joshua King has two of Fulham's six league goals, and both came in home defeats to Palace and Chelsea.

Hull's steadier record
Hull have conceded six league goals to Fulham's ten, and their record reads three draws, two wins and one defeat. Both wins were shutouts: 2-0 at home to Manchester United and 1-0 away at Coventry.
Mohamed Belloumi has scored three of Hull's eight league goals. Two of them came at Chelsea, in the 28th and 34th minutes of a 2-2 draw.
Hull's longer injury list
Fulham's list is short: T. Cairney (knee) and A. Robinson (ankle) are both listed as questionable.
Hull's is longer. Six players are marked as missing the fixture, including J. Butland (arm) and M. Targett (ankle). M. Cho, who scored at Newcastle, is questionable with a muscle injury, as is L. Gourna-Douath (calf).
Fulham's recent edge
Fulham have won four of the five meetings in our records, and the last four have all gone their way. Hull's only win came on 2 November 2019, when they won 3-0 at Fulham. In those five games Fulham have conceded just three goals, all of them in that defeat.
What the numbers say
The market's view at the time of writing is 56% for a Fulham win, 24% for a draw and 20% for a Hull win. That is calculated from Pinnacle's odds with the bookmaker's margin removed, so it reflects the market, not our opinion.
Fulham have scored in four of six league games but conceded in five, so the numbers point to the defence as the weaker half of their record. The market still gives Fulham the best chance at home, and that is the view to weigh against the defensive figures.
